EGE5 Series Slewing Drive
Slewing drives usually consist of an inner ring and an outer ring separated by balls with either a helical or proper worm gear in the outer ring. This is mounted on a standard housing that contains a worm shaft and shaft support bearings. Grease fittings allow re-lubrication to the bearing raceway, the worm gear, and the supporting worm shaft bearings. The rings may incorporate tapped or clearance holes for bolts. Spacers usually separate the rolling elements, and the raceways are hardened and ground. Nitrile rubber strip seals retain lubricant in the bearing and prevent the ingress of contaminants.

The slewing accuracy and other conditions that the slew drive can provide also enable some mechanical technologies that require precise control to be realized. Choosing a suitable slewing drive is essential for the regular and smooth operation of mechanical equipment.

The enclosed slew drive is protected by housing and has a higher protection degree. It can be used in harsh environments such as dust, humidity, and sand. Open slew drive has a better advantage to the price and can be used in typical environments.
(4) Rotation direction required by mechanical equipment:
The primary function of slewing drive is rotation. If there is only one azimuth rotation, you can select a single-axis slew drive, then choose horizontal or vertical installation to meet a single azimuth rotation. Still, if the mechanical equipment needs to rotate in different directions, you can select a dual-axis slew drive to complete the horizontal and vertical process.
(5) Rotation accuracy required by mechanical equipment:
