Angular Gearbox

The angular gearbox is used in agricultural machinery, such as tractors or harvesters, to transfer power from the engine to the wheels or other moving parts.

The “angular” aspect of the gearbox refers to its ability to change the direction of the power transmission by a specified angle, such as 90 degrees. This is achieved through the use of gears and shafts that are arranged in a specific configuration to achieve the desired direction change.

In agricultural machinery, angular gearboxes are commonly used in power take-off (PTO) systems, which provide power to attached implements such as mowers or balers. The gearbox allows the PTO drive shaft to transmit power to the implement at the correct speed and direction, even when the engine and the implement are not aligned.

Angular agricultural gearboxes are typically designed to be durable and long-lasting, as they are often subjected to heavy loads and harsh operating conditions in agricultural environments. They may also include features such as lubrication systems or protective covers to ensure reliable operation and protect against damage or wear.
