Power steering rack, also known as power steering rack or electric hydraulic power steering rack (in electric power steering system), is a key component in the automotive steering system, mainly responsible for converting the driver’s steering action into the actual steering angle of the wheels.

The power steering system plays a crucial role in modern cars, as its main function is to reduce the amount of force required by the driver to operate the steering wheel, especially when driving at low speeds, parking, or encountering complex road conditions, making steering operations easier and more convenient. At the same time, the power steering system can ensure stability and accuracy during high-speed driving, provide appropriate road feedback, and improve driving safety and comfort.
In the power steering system, the power steering rack plays a core role. It connects the steering wheel to the front wheels and is a key component that converts the angle and torque of steering wheel rotation into the actual steering action of the wheels

  • Pure hydraulic power steering (HPS)
    It relies entirely on the pressure of the hydraulic system to provide assistance.
