    What is platewheel ?

Platewheels are a type of sprocket that have no hub diameter and often referred to as hubless sprockets .which is a part of a rotating machine that relies on teeth or cogs to transmit torque. Platewheels generally work way is same with V belt pulley in Power Transmission systems.A simplex platewheel is used with a simplex roller chain and can be used for many applications.

    Plate wheel Production Processing

    Forging

To shape metal materials into the desired preliminary shape through high temperature and high pressure, and to improve the density and mechanical properties of the materials.

    Machining

To further accurately process the size and shape of the sprocket through machining methods such as turning, milling, and drilling.

    Hobbing

The hobbing machine is used to cut the required tooth shape on the sprocket. The feed speed and rotation speed of the hob are controlled to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the tooth shape.

    Teeth Heating

Local heating is used to heat the teeth to the required heat treatment temperature in preparation for subsequent quenching.

    Treated on Quenching

The heated sprocket is quickly immersed in a cooling medium (such as oil or water) to cool it quickly. The hardness, wear resistance and fatigue resistance of the sprocket teeth are improved through quenching.

    Surface Treatment/Rust-Proof Treatment

Improve the surface quality and corrosion resistance of the sprocket. Polishing makes it smooth and flat. Passivation improves its corrosion resistance. Galvanizing provides a protective layer against corrosion. There are also other surface treatments such as painting and electroplating.
