GZB Series-Heavy Load Roller Caged Linear Guideway

A linear guideway is a kind of precision linear guideway guiding Paris. It has been widely used in CNC machinery, automatic production lines, etc. Because of its heavy load, high accuracy, high speed, low abrasion, reliability, and standardization characteristics.
Linear guideway is one of our main products. After over 20 years of production and development, it presently has GZB, GGB, GGC, GGD, GZD, GZV, etc., and hundreds of specs and model products. GZB roller heavy loading linear motion guide consists of rail, block, roller,re-circulator, retainer, roller cage, and seal gasket, etc.(see fig-1)

Low Noise

High Speed And Accuracy
Roller cage prevens roller deflecting motion and moves stably. At the same time, it forms the oil film contact between the roller and cage, avoids friction among rolles, reduces the heat when the roller guide is running, and achieves high speed and precision movement.
Long Term Maintenance Free
A certain amount of grease in the cage can achieve long-term maintenance-free and prolonged life.

Equal Load In Four Directions
GZB roller heavy loading linear guide contact angle between roller and raceway is 45°, so it has an equal load in four directions.(see fig-5)

Usage Method:
The GZB Series-Heavy Load Roller Caged Linear Guideway is straightforward to install and integrate into various industrial setups. The following steps outline the basic usage method:
Mounting: Securely mount the linear guideway onto the machine frame or base using appropriate fasteners and alignment methods. Ensure proper alignment and parallelism with other machine components for optimal performance.
Lubrication: Apply the recommended lubricant to the rolling elements and the raceways of the guideway. Proper lubrication is essential to minimize friction, reduce wear, and ensure smooth and reliable linear motion. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines regarding lubrication intervals and lubricant type.
Load Application: Place the load onto the linear guideway, ensuring that the load is evenly distributed across the contact surfaces. Avoid exceeding the specified load capacity to prevent premature wear or damage to the guideway.
Motion Control: Utilize compatible motion control systems, such as linear actuators or servo motors, to drive the linear guideway. Ensure proper alignment and synchronization between the driving mechanism and the guideway for accurate and synchronized linear motion.
Advantage of Linear Guideway:
By placing appropriate balls between the rail and block, friction between the block and the rail changes from sliding to rolling friction, significantly reducing the motion friction resistance. Thereby:
a.The difference between dynamic and static friction is negligible. It benefits from raising the response speed and sensibility of the CNC system.
b.The driving power is significantly reduced, only 1/10 of the general machinery.
C. The friction resistance was reduced 40 times compared to the V-shape cross roller guide.
d. Suitable for high-speed linear motion, the instantaneous speed is 10 times of the sliding guide.
e.High positioning accuracy and high repetitive positioning accuracy.
It can achieve no clearance motion, raising the running rigidity of the mechanical system.
It has an error homogenization effect when used in double guideways, which lowers the processing accuracy requirements of rail fixing surface and saves the cost of manufacture.
A suitable ratio of the radius groove of the raceway sectional plane ensured that the contact force turned small and carrying capacity and rigidity could also be raised greatly. The value of rolling friction is less than that of a double-arc raceway.
The surface hardness process makes the guideway good calibration, and the core part keeps good mechanical characteristics.

Accuracy of Linear Guideway:
Because of the error homogenization effect of the linear guideways, when two or more sets of linear guideways are used on the same surface, higher moving accuracy can be attained even using lower mounting accuracy. Normally, product quality can be improved by 20%~50%. Accuracy grades are recommended for kinds of machine tools and machinery equipment. See Tab-1

The accuracy and inspection method is according to the machinery industry standard of the People's Republic of China JB/T715.4-2006<Rolling linear guide: Acceptance Specification>, equal to the foreign competitor's standard.
Accuracy grade is classified as six grades:i.e.1,2,3,4,5 and 6. Grade 1 is the highest accuracy, and accuracy grades go down step by step. For testing items and permission tolerance, see tab.2(those shown in the table below indicate GGB type; others refer to GGB)

Notes:
1. The rail raceway is finished by fixing the rail with bolts on a particular fixture during grinding. The curve will possibly occur in a free state. So, the rail should be set on a unique table to measure and inspect.
2. When some blocks exceed two, testing items of both No.4 and No.5 are unnecessary for middle blocks, but the value W1 of medium blocks should be less than that of both ends.
Operating Instructions of Linear Guideway:
Accuracy requirements for the mounting surface of essential parts of the linear guideway.
The plane accuracy of the mounting surface for a single linear guideway can be a little less than operation accuracy.
The accuracy of mounting surface for two sets or over two sets of linear guideways on the same surface can be lower than operation accuracy, the recommended accuracy shown in the table below.

When fixing the block and rail on the machine body and worktable, the chamfer of the block and rail should be machined as value r, which is shown in Tab.10 respectively, or the machine should be grooved to keep the chamfers of rails and block not contact the basic parts.

Mounting methods and operating instruction
Move the LMG gently enough not to damage its linear accuracy. There is no permission to separate blocks from rail or push them back when they exceed the travel distance limit. When it is challenging to assemble, the block should be taken down, and a guiding guide should be used, which you can order from our company (Guiding-guide is a kind of subsidiary tool, and its size is smaller than the guide's. When necessary, join the guide with the guide, then push the block from the rail to the guide. After fixing the rail, return the block to the rail from the guiding one again. Pay attention to ref. direction.)
Mounting attention
First, distinguish the master and subsidiary linear guideway correctly; the arrow directs to the ref. The side of the block is polished. (see Fig-5)

Mounting methods of master guide(two methods shown below):
<1>.Use the U-type collet to tighten the side datum plane of the rail and bed, then tighten the mounting bolts(mated screw thread recommended)in sequence with the specified torque. (refer to Fig-8)
<2>. When there is no bed, fix one end of the linear guideway and use a dial gauge and a straight edge to confirm the straightness of the side datum plane of the rail from one end to the other. Tighten the mounting bolts in sequence.

Mounting methods of subsidiary LMG:
As shown in fig-10, fix the magnet watch based on the block of the master guide, the pointer of dial gauge contacts on the side datum surface of the subsidiary guide, read the parallelism from one end, and tighten the subsidiary guide in sequence. In addition, methods shown in fig.8 and fig-9 could be referred to.

Distinguish of Joint guide:
When using the joint guide, we use the same English capital letter to represent the same series guide, and the consecutive Arabic number represents the joint sequence. Two sides (head joint with head)with the same Arabic letter(see fig-11)

When tightening the bolts, suggest using a constant torque wrench.The recommended torque value is shown in Tab-11

Sealaccessories of Linear Guideway:
Conditions and situations will be used with the wide use of linear guideways. To meet different customers' seal protection requirements, we designed the seal types below to choose from when ordering:

If the working condition worsens with enough room beside the seal fail, the dustproof bellows can be added. (see fg-12)

Lubrication of Linear Guideway:
Keep working conditions clear and tidy to avoid scrap iron and dirty foreign materials in the body of the linear guideway. A dust-workshop dust-proof device equipment should be assembled, including under the seal of LMG. (See fig-13)
The primary purpose of lubrication is to eliminate friction and abrasion to avoid superheating, which will damage the inner structure and influence motion function. Before ex-factory, the linear guides are injected with low-noise grease to ensure the excellent lubrication of balls in motion, but to avoid the deficiency caused by the wastage of lubrication, we suggest supplementing periodically when the block's motion travels to 50km. When linear guideway is moving at a high velocity (V>=35m/min)N32 lubrication oil is recommended (refer to GGB443-84). It is equivalent to 20# machinery oil in old standard, when temperature is 40°C, oil's viscosity is 28.5~35.2cst. The linear guideway should be lubricated periodically or connected with an oil hose (shown in Fig-13). Li grease is recommended when it's running at low velocity (V<35m/min)
