The drive chain and the conveying chain are driven by sprockets. The uniform distribution of power depends on the precise transmission between the sprocket teeth and the chain rollers or bushes.

Because sprockets significantly impact the chain's life, all challenging sprockets (from casting to precision mechanical cutting) are manufactured according to strict tolerances and quality control. We also recommend that all customers replace the sprocket when replacing the chain to maximize the chain life.

Lubricant Requirements for Chain Drive

• Excellent permeability

For chains, smooth rollers and sprockets are relatively easy, but smooth pins and rollers are relatively complex. Because the clearance between the pin shaft and the roller is minimal, and the integrity belongs to the open environmental conditions. Assuming that the smooth oil has no good permeability, it cannot penetrate the pin shaft and roller and cannot play the role of smooth pin shaft and roller.

• It should have excellent adhesion.

The smooth oil will be thrown off when the chain runs due to the high speed. At low speed, the lubricating oil will drip due to the effect of gravity. All these will pollute the environment and products and cause a lot of waste. Therefore, the smooth oil must have good adhesion, which can be firmly adhered to the friction surface without being scattered due to various effects.

• Excellent smoothness

One of the functions of smooth oil is to be smooth. However, when chains are subjected to different effects during operation, they will have higher requirements for the smooth performance of the smooth oil. In particular, those chains under heavy load and impact conditions require extreme pressure and abrasion resistance. Therefore, ordinary chain smooth oil pays excellent attention to this requirement.

• Excellent oxidation stability

Generally, the chain drive works in an exposed environment, so the chain smooth oil needs to have excellent oxidation stability.

• With minimal evaporation loss rate
