SS304 Series

SS304 series consists of all parts being made from SUS304. It is the most popular series and is widely used in food, chemical and many other industries. Excellent corrosion resistance (General acid, alkali and water) Widest temperature range tor operation ( -4°F~750°F )(Not for use below -4°F)

SS600 Series

SS600 Series consists of the link plate being made from SUS304 and the round parts ( Pin, Bushing and Roller) from a precipitation hardening process. SS600 series has 1.5 times higher maximum working load than that of SS304 Series. Fair corrosion resistance Good for high load.

SS316 Series

All parts SUS316

Excellent corrosion resistance

Excellent anti-heat resistance (-4°F~750°F)

Non-magnetic

Stainless Steel Chain Material Features

1.Solid Rollars

SS304 series for the sizes #40 to #120 has solid rollers . Solid rollers solve noise and sanitary problems that split rollers create in many applications. HZPT is a pioneer in the manufacturing of precision stainless steel solid rollers and provides the chain at the same cost as the split roller type roller chain.

2.High Strength Link Plate

HZPT uses link plates made from SUS304, manufactured through a cold roll hardening process for the SS304, SS600 and SS400 chain series. Our chain offers 10% to 20% higher tensile strength than that of other chain manufacturers. Our Stainless Steel chain has greater endurance against overload conditions, occuring in various applications. SUS304 link plates are slightly magnetized due to the cold roll hardening process.

Martensitic material(410, 420, 430) is magnetic, and austenitic material (SUS304, 316)  is usually non-magnetic. However, after stamping, the austenitic material will become martensitic, for example, the edge of the chain plate perforated portion of the magnetic. However, when the chain is burned red and cooled in water, it becomes austenitic and non-magnetic, and the surface will be blackened and the pulling force will be reduced, so it is not processed.

Benefits of Stainless Steel Roller Chain

  • Applications in the food industry: The stainless steel roller chain is a popular option since it can withstand harsh temperatures and is simple to clean. The chain needs to be cleaned frequently in environments where food is handled, processed, or packaged, hence stainless steel roller chains are the ideal option.
  • Temperature High resistance: Stainless steel roller chains are capable of withstanding temperatures as high as 400°C and as low as -20°C. This makes it a very popular option in situations when other metals or mechanical components are not the best solutions.
  • Corrosive Resistance: Another reason this roller chain is selected is that it is very resistant to both alkaline and acidic environments, which can be common in some sectors. A very low magnetic permeability is another feature of it.
  • Better Wear Resistance from Heat Treated and Pre-Stressed Materials: Heat-treated materials with improved temperature resistance that have also undergone pre-stress testing are less likely to break or stretch prematurely.
