Front Hub Motor
A front hub motor is another type of electric motor used in e-bike systems, but instead of being integrated into the rear wheel hub, it is placed in the front wheel hub. Front hub motors offer distinct advantages and characteristics compared to rear hub motors, making them a popular choice for certain e-bike applications.

Functionality: Similar to rear hub motors, front hub motors consist of a motor unit housed within the hub of the front wheel and a power source, typically a battery mounted on the frame of the e-bike. The motor generates torque to drive the front wheel, providing propulsion to the e-bike.

a. Simple Installation: Front hub motors are relatively easy to install on existing bicycles since they don’t require modifications to the drivetrain. The front wheel with the motor is swapped with the original front wheel, and electrical connections are made.
