Pivoting Electric Motor Base
Pivoting electric motor bases with manually adjustable belt tensioning are available in standard and heavy-duty configurations and can be used in NEMA frame sizes 56-449T or larger upon request.
There are two basic types of pivoting bases available for electric motors. The single-screw adjustable base is the cheapest and easiest to install. The dual-screw positioning base features two adjustable screws under the motor feet and is more robust. The dual screw positioning base also provides more shaft alignment flexibility. This feature is desirable when the motor’s tension is not constant.
The self-tensioning drive assembly can have a tilt angle of up to 35 degrees. It is advantageous for driving devices rated from three to 250 horsepower.
